MBBS Scholarship Programs
Here at MBRU, we want to attract you, the most talented students, to come and join our university. But, we’re aware sometimes you may need some help to realize your dreams and need support on your educational journey. In keeping with our value of giving, we’ve established a number of scholarship programs, as of the academic year of 2018/2019, available to all our MBBS students.
Future Doctors Program
New Students
The top ten ranked MBBS applicants will receive a 30% discount on their annual tuition fees.
Continuing students
The top ten students achieving the highest annual GPA in each cohort of the MBBS program will receive a 30% discount on their annual tuition fees. This is determined on an annual basis.
Scholarship excludes students graduating in 2022.
Jood Scholarship Program
Ten students with verified financial need in the MBBS program can receive up to 50% off their annual tuition fees, provided that their annual GPA is 2.5 and above.
Scholarships are only valid for one academic year. Students who are currently enrolled at the university or received a conditional offer must apply “online” at the end of each academic year to be considered for Jood scholarship.
New students’ scholarship applications are considered only after the acceptance of offer and payment of the seat reservation fee. Online form link will be shared after the offer confirmation deadline.
Jood Required Documents:
- Copy of the full family book for UAE nationals, and a copy of birth certificates or passport copies for all family members
- Copy of valid residency visa for expats
- Copy of applicant’s & guardians’ (father & mother) valid Emirates ID both sides (for residents of UAE)
- Original salary certificate of guardians (father & mother, if working) stating clearly gross salary including all allowances and/or benefits such as education, housing, transportation, bonus, etc.
- Copy of the bank statement for the last six months
- Original certificate of liabilities from the bank
- Copy of the lease contract, if applicable
- Certificates verifying education tuition fees for all family members, if applicable
- Death/divorce certificates of guardian if applicable.
- Any other documents that would support the financial status of the family
If the guardian is self-employed, the following documents are required:
- Audited profit and loss financial statement for the last two years
- Original Statement of Shareholders current account
- A copy of the trade license

Discount Options
Siblings Discount | Families that have more than one daughter/son enrolled at MBRU will be eligible to receive a discount of 10% on the annual tuition fees. The discount(s) will apply to each sibling. |
Holders of Homat Al Wattan Card | Students whose parents hold the Homeland Protectors of the UAE’s Armed Forces card are entitled for a discount of 15% on the annual tuition fees. |
Martyr’s Discount | To honor the nation’s heroes, children, the brother or sister of the UAE’s army martyrs will receive a discount of 25% on the annual tuition fees. |
Guiding Rules for MBRU Scholarships
- Students cannot combine more than one MBRU provided scholarship/discounts. If the student qualifies for more than one, the highest discount will apply.
- Online form link will be shared after the offer confirmation deadline with applicants who accepted the offer and paid the seat reservation fee.
- Students are normally informed about their scholarship status by the end of June.
- Applicants applying to the Jood Scholarship Program must pay the non-refundable seat reservation fees first, to qualify for the Jood application.
- The above-mentioned scholarships/discounts do not apply to students graduating in 2022.
- Students continuing to receive the above discounts are subject to the scholarship terms and conditions issued by the University’s administration.
