Medical Academic Positions
Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU; www.mbru.ac.ae) is part of the newly established Dubai Academic Health Corporation (DAHC). DAHC seeks to strengthen Dubai as a global leader in health care, medical education, research, and scientific innovation, to enhance the capabilities of Dubai’s healthcare sector.
DAHC is managing and operating all Dubai public hospitals, primary healthcare centres, specialised care centres, Dubai Dental Hospital; Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital, MBRU and Al Jalila Research Foundation.
MBRU seeks to develop, attract, and retain exceptional medical and research talent, and provide a supportive environment for scientific and clinical research that improves health. MBRU offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through its colleges. The College of Medicine offers an innovative 6–year MBBS program; open to all nationalities. The College of Medicine at MBRU is soliciting applications for positions at all academic ranks in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Pathology, Physiology and Anatomy.
Faculty members will be working in an academic and healthcare environment located in the heart of Dubai, a major travel hub with direct flight connections to most major cities.
Our strategic partner, Al Jalila Foundation (www.aljalilafoundation.ae) facilitates access to research grants and research facilities in a number of disciplines. We also have clinical affiliation agreements in the region with Mediclinic Middle East, Kings Hospital Dubai and Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital where our Faculty practice and our students get their clinical training.

Successful candidates for positions in Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Pathology must hold Board certification (US and Canada), CCT (UK) or equivalent, which is acceptable for medical licensing in UAE as a consultant.
Successful candidates for positions in Physiology and Anatomy must hold PhD in the relevant subjects or equivalent.
It is also desirable for successful candidates to have:
- Academic experience either primarily as a medical educator and /or a researcher at a recognized university (at least five years for Associate Professor position and at least 10 years for Full Professor position)
- Significant experience in undergraduate medical education including the design, delivery and organization of good quality teaching and assessments.
- Proven independent research experience and track record in medical education.
