Professor Mutairu Ezimokhai is the Senior Advisor in the President’s Office and was the Founding Provost of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) and Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the College of Medicine, MBRU. Immediately prior to current appointment, he was the Academic Advisor to the Managing Director, and the Academic Lead for the development and launch of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai and its College of Medicine.

Prior to his current position he was the Academic Advisor to the Managing Director, Education, Dubai Healthcare City Authority. He also served as the academic lead for the development and launch of MBRU, and its College of Medicine. He joined the Dubai Healthcare City in March 2014.

His previous positions include Assistant Dean for Education and Academic Affairs, Chairman of Department of Medical Education, and Chairman of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University. He was also Postgraduate Dean and Advisor in Obstetrics and Gynecology to Dubai Health Authority (then Department of Health and Medical Services- DOHMS) where he developed the Dubai Residency Training Program. He was Assistant Dean (Clinical) at the University of Benin and Secretary, Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.

His undergraduate training was at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he was a University scholar. He obtained Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Physiology) with 1st class honors and MBBS degree with distinctions in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Preventive and Social Medicine, and gold medals in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery and Child Health. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, UK.

His research interest is Pathophysiology of Pre-eclampsia and Medical Education and he has an extensive list of peer-reviewed research publications.
