Dr. Prithishkumar did his MBBS at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and his MS (Master of Surgery- Branch V: Human Anatomy) at the Institute of Anatomy, Madras Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai. He has more than 14 years of teaching experience, and has taught various groups of undergraduate medical, dental, and allied health students, and a variety of postgraduate surgical trainees. Prior to joining MBRU, he worked as Professor of Anatomy at Christian Medical College, Vellore during which time he was the recipient of the ‘Best teacher of the Year’ award in 2015. Dr. Prithishkumar has made a significant contribution to the 16th edition of Cunningham Manual of Dissection published by the Oxford University Press. Much of his research work is based on application of anatomical knowledge to newer minimally invasive surgical approaches, invasive clinical procedures and prosthesis design.
