
Dr. Loreena Hill has worked in cardiology for many years, over the last 12 years as a heart failure nurse with independent prescribing authority. Loreena completed her PhD in 2016 with her research focused on the management of patients with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator in the advanced stages of heart failure. She successfully obtained two postdoctoral grants to continue this research programme. Currently Loreena is on the board of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of cardiology, undertaking the role of chair of the Patient Care Committee and Palliative Care Taskforce.

Teaching
- Delivered undergraduate tutorial teaching, year 3 nursing, across all modules
- Delivered teaching on ‘Heart Failure management’ to postgraduate students within the specialist cardiology and intensive care courses.
