Dr. Rania Nassar is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the College of Medicine, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. She earned her BSc and MSc degrees in Jordan and completed her PhD at Cardiff University, UK. Dr. Nassar has extensive experience in research, teaching, and clinical laboratories, with expertise spanning oral microbiology, microbial biofilms, microbiome, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Dr. Nassar’s current research focuses on characterizing microbial biofilms and microbiome associated with human infections, aiming to understand infection mechanisms by identifying novel virulence factors. Additionally, her research explores novel approaches and targets for managing and combating biofilm-associated infections.
