Dr. Reem Jan is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the College of Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (First Class Honors), and a PhD in Pharmacy in the subfield of Neuropharmacology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Jan was awarded a Marie-Curie Post-doctoral Fellowship at the University of Geneva, Switzerland where she worked as a post-doctoral research fellow before joining MBRU in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Jan’s research interests include pharmacogenomics and pharmacological targets of chronic inflammatory and metabolic diseases, as well as the efficacy of natural agents in combating inflammation and cancer. Moreover, Dr. Jan has a special interest in psychiatric disorders, including drug addiction, autism spectrum disorder, and anxiety disorders, and their effects on the human brain, as well as their pharmacological targets. Dr. Jan is fluent in English and Arabic.
