
Sonya Clarke obtained her Doctorate and other degrees at Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. She is a registered general nurse (RGN) and registered children’s nurse who has made important contributions to children’s nursing within the UK. Sonya acted as the Professional Lead for Children’s nursing from 2012-2019 at QUB. In the study which explored children’s experiences of hospital from the perspectives of children and children’s nurses she was instrumental in informing nurse educators, policy makers and healthcare providers on what matters to children (and children’s nurses) in hospital. She is currently involved in the study of using Canvas as an educational learning platform for nurse and midwifery students at QUB, UK.
