Faculty Position in Nursing
Hind Bint Maktoum College of Nursing and Midwifery (HBMCNM) at Mohammed Bin Rashid University (MBRU) for Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking multiple positions for an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated fulltime faculty to teach in our nursing programs. HBMCoNM is planning to expand its nursing program offerings to include the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and additional post-graduate clinical specialty programs. Successful candidates are expected to teach in one or more of our nursing programs, depending on program needs. Desired specialty areas for the BSN and post-graduate specialty programs include one or more specialty areas such as Pediatric nursing care, critical care, trauma and emergency care, medical-surgical, oncology nursing, and maternity-child care. Candidates with expertise in more than one specialty area are highly desirable. Successful candidates are expected to provide teaching instructions in classrooms, online, lab/simulation, and/or clinical settings.
The successful candidates will actively participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum, course content, clinical experiences, test construction, and assessment of students’ learning; establishes effective coordinating relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies; actively participate in scholarly work and professional development; participate in student academic advising and guidance; and participates in the appropriate program, college, and university activities and committees.
Required Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience, in which at least 2 years of clinical experience in a specialty area.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in an accredited program in a content-specialty area is preferred.
- Records of research/scholarship engagement and publications is desired.
- Teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate programs and online instruction is desired.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation are desired.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
