This workshop, organised by the Al Maktoum Medical Library in association with Elsevier, aims to equip researchers, faculty members, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals in Dubai with essential skills for publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals. The session will cover the complete journey of academic publishing from writing a strong manuscript and navigating peer review, to selecting the most suitable journal using Scopus metrics and responsible research evaluation practices.
Participants will benefit from the expertise of experienced academics and publishing consultants through interactive sessions, practical guidance, and a dedicated Q & A discussion.

- Dr. Hamda Hassan Khansaheb – Head of Section, Research & Graduate Studies, MBRU
Dr. Hamda Khansaheb is currently an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and serves as the Director of Research Administration and Support at Mohammed Bin Rashid University (MBRU) in Dubai. In this role, she leads initiatives to enhance research capabilities and support research activities across Dubai Health, while also engaging in clinical work and providing patient care in primary health care. - Wael Mansour – Senior Manager – Customer Success, Elsevier
With over 25 years of success in Higher Education and research, Wael is a seasoned professional dedicated to optimizing research management solutions.
