Library
Library staff are available to assist and direct patrons. A Librarian is assigned to handle all reference queries. Training sessions are also available for registered patrons. Updates on training are available on the Library portal.
Books may be returned in the Book Drop available at the entrance of the Library or at the information desk.
Black and white printing services are available within the acceptable use policy.
All are welcome to use the Library and its facilities. Visitors are required to provide photo ID.
Search the Library’s e-journals list for electronic journals. Search the Discovery search option to locate journal articles. Additionally, articles may be sourced using the Open Access resources listed under Useful Resources.
All MBRU staff, students, residents and DHCC staff and community are eligible to register for services. The patron registration form is available here to be submitted to the Library. A valid ID copy is required for registration.
This service is available for MBRU and DHCC staff and residents. Inter-Library loans may be requested on the form available.
Log in using your user ID and PIN/password assigned by the Library.
Registered patrons may register for training by contacting the Library at library@mbru.ac.ae.
Self check-out guidelines are available at the self check-out counter, or ask for assistance at the information desk.
Coffee and tea may be consumed in sealed containers. Food is not allowed in the Library. Cafeteria facilities, vending machines and lounges are available on the first floor and ground floor.
There is currently no registration fee to use the Library.
You must be a registered user to borrow from the Library. Please check the information desk for more information or email the Library at library@mbru.ac. Items may be checked out at the information desk or via the self check-out counter.
Two meeting rooms are available in the Library and equipped with state-of-the-art AV technology. Library-registered members may book a meeting room by filling out the Library Room Reservation Form.
The Library has one designated quiet study room. Six group study rooms and two individual study rooms are available on the second floor.

Reference sources and journals are not available for loan, but they may be consulted in the Library.
Information desk staff will provide the username and password. Library staff will also assist you to configure wireless network options on your laptop or any other mobile devices.
You may consult with Library IT to install a program on a Library computer, however, it will automatically delete when the computer turns off.
The Library catalog is the starting point of all book searches in the Library. Patrons may search by keyword, title, author, subject, or ISBN. Library staff are available at the information desk to help locate books in the Library’s collection.
Consult the Library Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for the location code to find a book. The Library uses the National Library of Medicine Classification Scheme to arrange books in subject specialties. Shelf guides are available on the book stacks for ease of reference.
Printing and photocopying facilities are available only for MBRU students, faculty and staff.
EndNote Citation Manager software is available on all the Library computers.
Any documents saved on the C-Drive will automatically be deleted when the computer turns off. You may copy the documents on any external hard drives or copy to the temporary folder available on the T-Drive. Consult with the Library staff for assistance.
