Welcome to our Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program. On behalf of our faculty, I would like to thank you for your interest in this unique program. It has been my absolute pleasure to work on establishing and launching the first Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program in the UAE, and I am looking forward to meeting and training UAE’s future Pediatric Otolaryngology Consultants.
The primary focus of this fellowship is the development of complex pediatric otolaryngology clinical skills. Attending to ICU (intensive care unit) consultations for example and getting actively involved in complex cases’ management (medical and surgical) will give the fellow this chance. The fellow will be responsible for clinical decision-making, with suitable supervision as needed, and will be actively exposed to the two main pillars of Pediatric otolaryngology: Airways and Otology.
In our Program, we believe that self-motivation and genuine dedication are as important as medical excellence. These are all the elements that are required for a stellar training program that yields successful trainees.
