3D Printing

Additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing, has been disrupting the materialization of ideas. Within hours, an idea sketched on a piece of paper can become a tangible product that can be tested by the end-users (e.g., patients, medical professionals, …). The Design Lab is equipped with the latest generation of 3D printer. It has been used for printing:

  • Anatomical models used for teaching, educating patients and supporting dental professionals.
  • During COVID for printing facemasks.
  • Different prototypes for research or innovation projects.
