MBRU Alumni Dr. Hamid Reza Hosseini, a graduate of the Master of Science in Orthodontics program at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine, MBRU, had his thesis published in the world’s first multidisciplinary open access journal PLoS ONE (Impact Factor 2.806) of the Public Library of Science.

The thesis titled Treatment outcomes of pre-surgical infant orthopedics in patients with non-syndromic cleft lip and/or palate: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials investigates the effectiveness of PSIO in patients with non-syndromic CL/P and evaluated the quality of the available evidence.

Dr. Hamid published his thesis jointly with his two professors, Dr. Athanasios Athanasiou and Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos as co-authors.
