Overview
Simulation-based education (SBE) is increasingly being integrated into health professions education curriculum, and the need for qualified instructors continues to grow. As SBE needs specific facilitating skills, this course focuses on providing participants with the knowledge and skills in the overall design, delivery, debriefing and evaluation of SBE in an educational and clinical setting.
MBRU Simulation Course dates in 2025
- 16, 17 & 18 May 2025 (8am – 5pm)
- 14, 15 & 16 November 2025 (8am – 5pm)
The Simulation Instructor Course is CPD accredited by DHA.
All SBE programs offered by Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center (KHMSC) at MBRU are accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
Learning Objectives
- Understand the concept of SBE.
- Design and deliver simulation-based scenarios using best practices in SBE.
- Design and deliver procedural skill training using best practices in SBE.
- Demonstrate skills required of a debriefing facilitator in a safe environment.
- Understand the difference between Feedback and Debriefing.
- Understand the importance of human factors, patient safety and CRM principles.
Course Fee
This 3-day course is priced at AED 4,400/- which includes catering, course material and tailored interactive sessions.

Fee waiver for Dubai Health employees. We are happy to offer full scholarships for a limited number of seats.
