Anas Alsharawneh
Dr. Anas Alsharawneh is an accomplished nurse scientist with a distinguished record in acute and critical oncology care, emergency nursing, and nursing quality improvement, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for patients experiencing subtle, time-sensitive oncological emergencies. Over the past several years, Dr. Alsharawneh has led multiple funded research projects investigating emergency department performance, risk-stratification tools, clinical decision-making, and quality of acute care in both medical and surgical oncology populations. In parallel with his research mission, Dr. Alsharawneh is deeply committed to nursing education as a form of praxis; a practice-based discipline in which knowledge and action must coexist, and recognizes nursing as a profession grounded in scientific knowledge yet fundamentally centered on therapeutic action, patient safety, and clinical decision-making. Beyond his academic and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Alsharawneh contributes extensively to the nursing profession, where he serves as the Chairman of the Tumor Nursing Board at the Jordanian Nursing Council and as an Accreditation Evaluator for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) in the United States. At MBRU, Dr. Alsharawneh continues to advance a program of scholarship and education that brings together clinical expertise, evidence‑based inquiry, and practice‑focused teaching—all aimed at shaping the future of nursing and improving outcomes for vulnerable patient populations.
