Purpose and Scope

As part of the Dubai Health Simulation Conference 2026, we are proud to launch the Innovation in Healthcare Simulation Challenge, to showcase your bold ideas, disruptive concepts, and practical solutions that will help enhance simulation-based education.

We invite educators, technologists, healthcare professionals, faculty and students to submit their innovative ideas.

Categories

Whether your idea is conceptual, in prototype stage, or already piloted, we want to see how you are pushing the boundaries of simulation.

Examples of these are mentioned below, but we are open to any innovative ideas related to simulation-based education.

  • New simulation devices, task trainers, or hybrid models
  • Low-cost simulation solutions
  • DIY Solutions
  • Faculty development innovations
  • Digital solutions (apps, VR/AR, analytics platforms)
  • Simulated patient program innovations
  • Interprofessional or system-based simulation concepts
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI-based solutions)

Selection Criteria

  • Submissions must relate to healthcare simulation.
  • Abstract must not exceed 500 words.
  • Submit a 2-minute video along with the abstract (This is optional)
  • Open to individuals or teams (max. 3 members)
  • Previously published own ideas are allowed if clearly declared.
  • Any AI-generated components must be declared.
  • The top 5 submissions will pitch live during the conference to an expert jury.
  • Winners will receive recognition & prizes
