Overview

A first of its kind in the UAE, The Center for Outcomes and Research in Education, or CORE for ease, is a virtual educational center based on the broad vision of “Better Learning, Better Care, Best Outcomes”. It is based on a unique collaboration between academic staff and faculty from our colleges, which aims to support educational excellence, through innovation at MBRU and the community that it serves. It comprises of several operational units called “pillars”, driven by the ultimate goal of studying and improving teaching, learning and healthcare outcomes.

Our Purpose

CORE supports the educational function of the health professional colleges of the university and serves as the international hub of a network of global scholars committed to studying, testing and improving education. CORE Faculty Development

Accelerator Rounds

Dedicated to topics which promote educational research and scholarship, or encourage innovation in education, these rounds offer all part-time and full-time faculty, academic staff and business partners a brief exposure to external speakers.

Incubators

Dedicated to topics which promote a more in-depth exploration and uptake of educational skills, incubators offer workshops in a variety of topics for faculty members and academic staff of MBRU.

Journal Clubs

J-Clubs offer the opportunity to engage in a critical appraisal of one or more articles dedicated to educational research, evaluation or innovation, led by MBRU faculty and academic staff.

Mentoring

Like other learners, our faculty benefits from mentoring and feedback led by trained peers and academic staff. This mentoring translates into consultation, peer review of teaching, course and teaching methods planning and in other ways.
