This course provides the background for an understanding of research methodology and the implementation of research to nursing practice. Students will be introduced to the fundamental principles and methods of research, data collection, interpretation and presentation. Students will be able to recognize the role of quantitative methods in understanding clinical nursing questions, especially in the context of responsible decision-making for the specialist nurse practitioner.
