Oral Epidemiology

This course is a second in a series that will be given through-out Phase that related to perquisite course CC502 and cover some topics related to pervious course. This course provides the background for understanding epidemiology, research methodology and biostatistics to residents in contextual of integrated concept of elements of the research. Students will be introduced to the basic principles and methods as applied to public oral epidemiology and health problems. Students will learn to recognize the role of quantitative methods in understanding clinical questions, especially in decision-making. This course will be delivered such that the emphasis will be to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the general concepts and uses of epidemiology, research method and biostatistics as opposed to the underlying better understanding the existing literature.
