The Teddy Bear Hospital authored by Dr. Reem Al Gurg is a children’s storybook about the adventures of Ahmed and Maryam at MBRU’s Teddy Bear Hospital, where they visit to treat Ahmed’s sick teddy bear. The story is inspired by MBRU’s Teddy Bear Hospital program, held at the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center (KHMSC) in MBRU. This program is created to promote healthcare awareness and help children overcome their fear and anxiety of visiting a hospital. The Teddy Bear Hospital program allows children to experience the journey of going to a hospital, along with their Teddy Bear, where treatments are carried out by healthcare professionals in patient wards and operating rooms.
